Manage logistical issues associated with the scientific drillship JOIDES Resolution including special engineering projects, port call activities, ocean and air freight shipping, crew transfer between ports of call, contracting port call agency agreements, planning and scheduling of port call activities including berthing, clearances, bunkering, 3rd party services, invoicing and contact administration with US Government research program. Works closely with client in developing high latitude expeditions, engineering/manufacturing companies in re-supply or re-design and fabrication of rig parts, provides technical drilling support and assistance as required, and arranges for periodic surveys and audits in cooperation with client. Serves as lead point of contact for maintenance layups periods, and dry dock repair program. Science Expeditions Operations ranges from Arctic to Antarctic including China, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sir Lanka, French Polynesia, Fuji, Chile, Guam, Panama, Iceland, South Africa, California, Spain, Greece and Portugal
