ABOUT JUAN FERNÁNDEZ GONZÁLEZ
Hello! I recently graduated from the Master of Architecture program at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where I was awarded the Peter Rice Prize for innovation in architecture and structural design. I also hold a B.Sc. Architecture degree from McGill University, where I co-taught Architectural Sketching as a Course Lecturer. I’m currently working as Architectural Staff at Diamond Schmitt’s NYC office. My previous experience includes internships at the offices of Frida Escobedo (Mexico City) and Lina Ghotmeh (Paris), as well as at Lemay (Montreal). My first publication, at age 19, was a geometry discovery. Since then, my work has been published by Buildings and Cities and the Springer Nature Handbook of the History and Philosophy of Mathematical Practice, among others. I’ve enjoyed presenting ideas at conferences and Harvard GSD’s orientation.I grew up in “the city of eternal spring”, Cuernavaca, Mexico and Montreal, Canada, and have lived in other cities.
