About Frank Zammetti

Note: NOT currently looking for work // I am a long-time employee of BNY Mellon (formerly PNC GIS, formerly PFPC, formerly FirstData, formerly FPS Services). I have and continue to lead the development of a large number of highly complex, advanced, and mission-critical applications (mostly web-based) in the financial services field using a wide variety of technologies. Much of my time nowadays is spent mentoring other developers, setting technical direction for projects and the larger organization, helping define overall development priorities and resource allocations as I manage a team of thirteen developers. but of course, there\'s still a good amount of actual coding mixed in there too! I am the author of fourteen (and a half - one is a second edition) books for Apress and Packt Publishing on a variety of development topics as well as numerous articles for various publications. I am the developer of several applications for various mobile platforms, a few of which were nominated for awards. I have developed and validated many certifications for PreVisor (Brainbench) on a range of technical topics. I am a frequent contributor to a few open-source projects, leader of a few, and have founded a few too. I am a writer of fiction (only self-published.so far!). I am a musician (keyboards) and was part of a fairly successful progressive rock band in New York in the 90\'s. I am an occasional speaker at technical conferences and meetup groups. In addition, I am a Principal Full-Stack Developer (yes, I still regularly code on top of management duties) responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of various highly complex business-focused systems and applications.
