As the Head of Communications at UNDP Türkiye, I lead strategic efforts to enhance the visibility of UNDP’s work and strengthen media outreach both nationally and internationally. I work closely with senior management, providing guidance on media strategies, and fostering strong partnerships with media outlets to promote UNDP’s impact on development in Türkiye.Key responsibilities: Knowledge Management: Advise and support senior leadership on media outreach, strengthening external communications capacity across the Country Office. Partnership Development: Cultivate strong relationships with national and international media, ensuring greater coverage of UNDP’s activities and promoting efforts among donors and key stakeholders. Public Information Strategy: Develop and implement the Country Office’s public information strategy, ensuring the UNDP Türkiye website remains current and responsive to public demand. Resource Mobilization: Facilitate storytelling and information sharing with UNDP HQ, enabling the pitching of impactful stories to global media, donor countries, and partners in various sectors.With a focus on results-oriented communication and strong media relations, my role contributes to advancing UNDP’s development goals in Türkiye and building a better understanding of its work among global audiences.
