ABOUT FURYAL MAHMOOD
Currently working as a licensed, certified genetic counselor - a lifelong dream fulfilled (quite actually!)- I was fortunate to have discovered genetic counseling at the age of 12, and I have been on my journey ever since. I am particularly interested in bridging the fields of genetics and education in ways that can better incorporate public health advocacy work. I also hope to use my skills as a genetic counselor to meet the healthcare needs of minority and underserved populations.
