I am an Agile Project Manager and Scrum Master in technology and software development. I specialize in leading successful cross-functional and cross-organizational initiatives to streamline processes, deliver value, and foster high-performing teams.I began my career at a startup, gaining hands-on experience in various roles, from troubleshooting circuit boards to learning programming languages. Over time, my focus shifted to software release engineering, where I learned the importance of reproducibility in development, build processes, and deployment pipelines. After joining Yahoo as a Senior Software Release Engineer, my passion for Agile/Scrum grew as my team transitioned from waterfall to Scrum, which led to my progression into Scrum Master and project management roles. At Yahoo, I led multi-disciplinary teams to execute key technical initiatives and worked to improve sustainability, productivity, cohesiveness, and predictability. I contributed to products, including Yahoo Personals, globalization tools, and a multi-petabyte key/value store, achieving a 70% reduction in hardware footprint and significant reductions in technical debt. Additionally, I enhanced cybersecurity compliance and streamlined processes through operational excellence programs, end-of-life governance programs, and ensuring continuous integration and delivery pipeline compliance. A defining moment in my career came when I began leading the culture-building team, where I learned the power of team cohesion and its impact on productivity. This experience reinforced my belief in the value of safe, inclusive, and equitable environments and the human side of technology. During my job search, I’ve embraced continuous learning, reigniting my passion for using Agile to tackle new challenges and improve team outcomes. I’ve studied AI Governance, Applied AI, and Digital Transformation at Brown and MIT, earned certifications like CSM, SAFe® 6 Agilist, and PMP®, and am working towards my Six Sigma Green Belt. Outside of work, I’m passionate about RVing (I spent almost 3 months on the road in 2024), building things, and event planning. I applied my Agile skills to coordinate large-scale, parent-driven events at my daughter’s schools, including camping trips, carnivals, book fairs, and annual fundraisers with 300-500 attendees.
