In addition to delivering product and consumer-facing features of the platform, I also lead the efforts to research and develop ways that improves our engineers efficiency and satisfaction.The highlights of these efforts are- Introduce a framework to break down and manage the release of breaking changes- Increase the release frequency across front‐end and back‐end services by developing guidelines, tools, and training engineers. We now release to production on demand, multiple times per day if needed- Improve back‐end Developer Experience (DX) by removing tooling overheads, applying TypeScript best practices, and enhancing Dockerfile structures of our monorepo, which consists of over 20 services and 50 libraries- Slash back‐end ContinuousIntegration (CI) performance times, reducing 4‐hour merge‐request‐to‐production cycles to just 15minutes- Coordinate the platform and product teams to enable and utilize feature branch deployments- Develop tools and integrations to automate technical changelog management and announcement for our front‐end monorepo- Reduced container container image registry footprint by 30x, by optimizing the deployment strategies and reusing the same build for all environments per-repository- Developed the internationalization (i18n) infrastructure for the product with 30 second cycles to instant module replacements, pipeline performance from 30 minutes to <10 minutes, cut the initial bundle size by 50%.
