ABOUT KARLA L. FRIZLER
My mission is to transform lives by helping students and employees achieve their educational, professional, and personal goals.Innovative educational leadership for the 21st century. and beyond. Transformational leader, change agent, and lifelong learner. I have been an educator for nearly 30 years. In the community college world, I have been a student, classified staff, adjunct faculty, full-time faculty, faculty coordinator/department chair, and now an academic administrator. I have taught everything from immigrants with low literacy in a church basement with no resources to international students in a computer lab to a credit/noncredit combo class to graduate courses in Technology for TESOL and Practicum (student teaching). I have also been instrumental in securing, managing, and reporting on large grants. Along the way, I have trained and mentored many faculty and staff, both formally and informally. I\'m a utility player who can cover a variety of roles-wherever I\'m needed. Why community college?I want to help nontraditional and historically disadvantaged and underserved students have equal access to education and equitable access to the supports they need to be successful.
