ABOUT FRIEDERIKE DÜNDAR

As a data scientist and strategy consultant, I support BioTech and Pharma companies at the intersection of science, data and strategy consulting - identifying the greatest medical needs, the most promising new technologies, and potential collaborators for developing drugs that will ultimately change patient lives. I am also a well-versed bioinformatics expert with basic medical training and hands-on bench expertise in molecular biology. I was fortunate to spend more than a decade in fantastically fulfilling academia settings where I worked directly with medical researchers to address their questions of interest with cutting-edge technology and appropriate data mining. I also spend a good amount of time teaching CompBio at Weill Cornell, writing code documentation and spreading lore at biostars.com. My data analyses helped publish high-impact papers ranging from studies of autoimmunity to zebrafish single-cell biology, including tumor biology, virology, neurology, oncology and more, and I left academia with a deep sense of appreciation and awe for the brilliant minds that continue to chip away at the gaps in our knowledge. As a consultant, I work at the intersection of tech, AI, translational science and business considerations, driven to understand how cutting-edge analytics and data management can be best leveraged to bring drugs to patients in a quicker and safer manner. Every client - from stealth start-up to centuries-old pharma companies - comes with different pain points, scar tissues and expectations, and figuring out how to best move their individual projects forward, is a puzzle I love solving.I am always happy to connect and chat about science, biotech, academia, coding, mentoring, space adventures, JS Bach, Berlin playgrounds and whatever it is you\'re passionate about!
