ABOUT FREYA PATTEN

I am a Trainee Solicitor at DLA Piper, in my forth and final seat rotation in Projects, which focuses on energy projects, infrastructure projects, and projects finance. I sat in Tax Core in my first seat, experiencing transactional and advisory, Safety, Health and Environment Litigation and Regulation in my second seat and Corporate international in my third. I completed the LLM Legal Practice (SQE 1 and 2) Moorgate University of Law, passing both SQE 1 and SQE 2. I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Southampton Upper 2.1 studying BSc Environmental Science in 2022, and my law conversion PGDL course at Bloomsbury University of Law in 2023 at Distinction level. I completed my Summer DLA Piper Vacation Scheme in their London Office in 2022, I also had the amazing opportunity to work an 8-week Access to Justice Scholar Programme at DLA Piper, sitting within the Responsible Business and Pro Bono Team in 2023. I was the President of the Environmental Science Society 20••••22 and was involved in the Law Society Committee as the Non-Law Representative between 20••••22, as well as extra-curriculum activities such as the Law netball Team in the first league, Sinfonietta Orchestra and Art. I have been involved in the charity committee of Leicester Grammar school, and vice-captain of sporting event.
