Since that time I have been Of Counsel at Skadden, and am presently Co-chair emeritus of the Firm’s Diversity and Pro Bono Committees. I am currently co-chair of the tax working group committee of the Law Firm Anti-Racism Alliance (LFAA), a coalition of more than 290 law firms around the country donating pro bono time to matters addressing racial justice issues. In addition to LFAA work, I have devoted substantial time to New York City Kids RISE and the Student Freedom Initiative My government service has included Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Tax Policy (1992); IRS Commissioner (19••••91); IRS Chief Counsel (19••••86); Special Assistant to the IRS Commissioner (19••••83); and Special Assistant to the Director of Planning & Research at the Office of Economic Opportunity.
