ABOUT FRED S.

With over 20 years of experience in various industrial and commercial environments, I am a skilled and certified instrumentation professional who can troubleshoot, support, and improve process control systems, computer hardware, and software. As a Red Seal Instrumentation and Control Technician and an Instrumentation Engineering Technologist, I have worked on multiple projects involving instrumentation installation, calibration, verification, commissioning, documentation, and QA inspection. I have also obtained a Quality System Auditor certification from ASQ, demonstrating my knowledge and ability to ensure quality standards and procedures are met and maintained. Currently I am a Commissioning Lead at LNG Canada at Kitimat, BC. assisting in the instrumentation testing activities of a new major LNG project. Prior to this, I contracted at Nutrien Nitrogen Plant, Red Deer AB, where I performed shutdown instrumentation activities and decommissioned and verified the calibration of various field instruments. Also, I provided instrumentation assistance during the International Paper shutdown and the pre-commissioning of plant\'s recovery boiler upgrades. I am passionate about instrumentation process control systems, policy and procedures, cyber security, networks, management, commissioning, and turnaround/shutdown projects. I am always looking for new challenges and opportunities to apply my expertise and contribute to the success of the organizations I work with. I am a reliable, adaptable, and problem-solving professional who values teamwork, safety, and customer satisfaction.
