Primary responsibility for directing all World Vision operations for the Rohingya Refugee Crisis, a Category Sustained Humanitarian Response in the highly turbulent, high-risk, nexus context of Cox’s Bazar District. Spearheading World Vision’s strategic role in Cox’s Bazar, from strategy to implementation, inclusive of performance and oversight of all aspects of World Vision emergency and development operations. In addition, leading and developing an efficient, high-capacity team which captures the significant opportunities for funding and beneficiary impact, whilst ensuring effective coordination and relationships with the large number of donors, government officials, UN heads of sub-office, other agencies, VIP visitors, and local stakeholders present in the Cox’s Bazar context. Initiating to lead, develop and monitor implementation of a 3 year integrated humanitarian response and development strategy that contributes to WV Bangladesh’s 5-year strategy; Coordinating and collaborating with humanitarian actors, government representatives, World Vision stakeholders, the media, Partners and beneficiaries in an effort to establish and maintain effective working relationships; Initiating in developing a 3-year Response strategy to achieve Response strategy goal and objectives, aligning with WVB’s 5-year strategy targeting both the Rohingya and Host communities; Implementing Response programme in accordance with commitments to meet international and WV standards; Initiating resourcing mechanisms and as well as ensuring financial and material (in-kind) resources are managed according to WV standards, donors and SO agreements; Overseeing Security function, planning and implementation ensuring response staff and organisational safety and security; Ensuring that response meets WV minimum quality standards and supports program effectiveness, reflection, learning and innovation.
