As I was on the floor in my pool of blood barely breathing, I had a decision to make, if I was going to accept the attack as being my end or getting up and live with the scars.    Because of one horrific night Fredric A. Almond’s life drastically changed. Yet overcoming the attacks of a burglar killing his mother and stabbing him thirty-nine times at the age of eleven, he was broken hearted and destined for ruins. From the outside looking in it seemed that he upheld a conquer attitude but within he was shipwrecked. He didn’t value his life as being special therefore rebelled against it. He was afraid to face failure, defeat, shame, and moving on from the hurts and remained in bondage for several years attempting to ignore the challenges he couldn’t run away from. He housed many unanswered questions, “Why me, what did I do to deserve this, God are you mad at me, is my life over already before it really gets started, will I ever wake up from this nightmare, etc…” After several years of battling within he decided to trust God and open up to others. He now lives life to its fullest.
