ABOUT FREDRIC SCHIFFER
Dr. Fredric Schiffer has the key to treating past trauma and eliminating drug, alcohol, and gambling cravings which most people suffer from for life. Through his groundbreaking work using Dual-Brain Psychology, he has worked with patients dealing with trauma using the concept of two minds competing for dominance - an immature, childlike mind, and a mature, adult mind. When the immature and troubled half of the brain is treated properly, Dual Brain Psychology techniques can successfully curb anxiety, depression, addiction, and PTST to improve the patient\'s psychological well-being.Dr. Schiffer’s latest book, –, takes an in-depth look at the science behind Dr. Schiffer\'s treatments while offering practical tips and tools to try it for yourself. His book shares the science behind his work and reveals the many triumphs of patients who have had their lives forever changed by his work. He has also begun implementing near-infrared light directed through a patient’s forehead to the brain as part of the treatment for psychological problems, especially for opiate abuse disorder. This technique, known as photobiomodulation, is part of Dr. Schiffer’s ongoing clinical trial on opioid cravings funded by the National Institutes of Health. Over his decades-long career, Dr. Schiffer has been published in numerous journals and publications. He is also the author of, hailed by the New England Journal of Medicine as “bold, interesting, and ambitious.”Dr. Schiffer is an assistant professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, a research associate at McLean Hospital, and also maintains a private practice of adult psychiatry in Newton, Massachusetts.
