Employed Electron’s compatibility to produce a standalone React/Node/Chromium application, deploying to Mac/Windows/Linux, while taking advantage of its performance, API client capabilities, data persistence, and security • Leveraged Electron’s baked in IPC API to create a non-blocking server that eliminated recurring frontend calls and overhauled event handlers to distribute frontend requests to their respective MySQL or PostgreSQL query event handlers • Utilized React Hooks to dynamically optimize front end performance and prevent unnecessary re-renders through its organized state management to accurately reflect changes in SQL table data, connection status, and query results • Expanded existing PostgreSQL schema comparison functionality to include MySQL to measure and optimize scalability and query performance between MySQL\'s purely relational architecture against PostgreSQL\'s object-oriented approach • Utilized MySQL2 and PostgreSQL Node clients to abstract the application’s SQL functions, allowing for an easy, scalable implementation of alternative relational database systems and standardizing data for content delivery to the frontend • Leveraged React Flow’s stateful node-based architecture to redesign primary UI components and optimize styling protocols to generate fast rendering, larger-scale ER Diagrams and query execution plans of MySQL collection of tables • Relied on TypeScript’s strong, static typed system to increase debug efficiency and scalability, streamlining development and expediting future onboarding, while leveraging its ability to transpile JavaScript for a reliable Electron deployment • Product developed under tech accelerator OS Labs (opensourcelabs.io)
