About Frederick Antwi
Frederick brings nearly 25 years of global leadership and growth investing in public and private markets, with a focus on AI & software, internet and fintech. As a Senior Advisor and global family office strategist at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Frederick partners with some of the world’s largest single and multi-family offices. In addition, he advises growth equity and crossover hedge funds on firm strategy, deal due diligence and portfolio acceleration. Recently, Frederick was appointed to the Privates Advisory Board at Makena Capital, a $20B global, multi-asset investment firm spun out from the Stanford University endowment. Frederick also served as a Senior Advisor at Dragoneer Investment Group, a growth-oriented crossover investment firm with $30B in long-duration capital. Previously, he was a Partner and Managing Director in the $31B growth equity arm of TPG Capital, where he helped expand the franchise to EMEA. Prior to TPG, Frederick co-led global tech & consumer growth equity at Goldman Sachs Investment Partners (GSIP), a $7B multi-strategy hedge fund. Earlier at Goldman Sachs, which supervises $3.5T in assets, Frederick worked in the Special Situations Group (SSG) and Principal Investment Area (PIA). Before GS, he executed growth buyouts at a spin-off from the Bass Brothers / Richard Rainwater investment entities. Frederick began his career as a Consumer & Retail analyst at McKinsey. Cumulatively, Frederick has deployed over $2B in public equities and private capital solutions. Public investments include: Alphabet, Children’s Place, Cinemark, Expedia, New York Times Company, Regal Entertainment, Sinclair, TripAdvisor, and Viacom, among others. Private investments include: Acosta (TH Lee Partners acq.), Cangen (Milacron acq.), Compass (COMP), Dale and Thomas (Eagle Foods acq.), Facebook (META), Fluid (Astound Commerce acq.), Logic PD (Compass Group Equity Partners acq.), Networked Insights (American Family Insurance acq.), NextNav (NN), Oberon (iWin acq.), and Revolution Money (American Express acq.). He has served on various corporate and nonprofit boards, including as a Director at Colorado Nonprofit Loan Fund, Dale and Thomas, Fluid, Metro Volunteers and 2 Seeds Network; and as an Observer at Cangen, LogicPD, Networked Insights and NextNav. Currently, he is an advisory board member at Apollo Mission Critical Engineering, which supports AI data centers. Frederick earned an A.B. from Harvard, with Honors in Economics, and an MBA from Stanford with high distinction as an Arjay Miller Scholar and a Goldman Sachs Fellow.
