About Frederick Wurden
Fred currently is working to ensure Microsoft security is second to none for AI & traditional workloads running anywhere. Previous responsibilities include leading the AWS EC2 Commercial Software Services engineering team ensuring AWS was the most enterprise adored cloud platform on Earth. Prior Microsoft efforts included EU/DOJ anti-trust engineering compliance for Windows and Azure, interoperability principles, open source engineering, and Windows protocol development and testing. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1989 and a MBA in 2002 from the University of Washington. Prior to Microsoft, Fred was the Directory of Technology at Applied Technical Systems where he developed innovative search and database solutions. He holds patents in database and systems diagnostics.
