WORK HISTORY
Research Assistant @NYU Langone Health
NY, US
The Diabetes Research Program at NYU Langone is a laboratory group that studies the biochemical and molecular mechanisms of the complications of diabetes, particularly the links between hyperglycemia, inflammation, and diabetic tissue damage. Our research focuses on key molecules linked to diabetes, such as aldose reductase, protein kinase C-β receptor for advanced glycation end products, or RAGE, and its cytoplasmic domain binding partner, diaphanous 1, or mDia1. We use innovative techniques to devise experiments, from animal models of diabetes to gene regulation studies in cultured cells.
