Fred Billig joined Sandy Spring Bank in 1996. His 29 year tenure with the company included acting as a Commercial Relationship Manager, Regional Market Leader, Commercial COO and the Head of Commercial Banking.In 2025, Atlantic Union Bank merged with Sandy Spring Bank and Fred became the Montgomery County Market President for Commercial Banking. Fred graduated from the University of Maryland in 1988 (BA) and The Johns Hopkins University in 1993 (MS in Business).Fred has been a Montgomery County resident for his entire life and resides in Sandy Spring, Maryland with his wife Trish. Fred and Trish have three grown children all living in the DC area. He enjoys playing golf, watching sporting events, traveling and spending time with his family.
