About Freddy Vega
An equitable-focused leader to build a culture of empathy and a better sense of belonging. I found my passion to advocate for racial justice in education, advocacy for the BIPOC community, and for my native Spanish-speaking coalition. My socioeconomically, underprivileged lifestyle has only made me more determined to be a voice for the voiceless. I have 4 years of managing teams, 5 + years of relevant experience in administration, 5 years of program & project coordinating, and 2+ years of management and development. Experience consists of strategically outreaching and recruiting prospective multi-language learners, data analyzing the educational equity disparities, maintaining partnerships with stakeholders, and creating innovative ways to better serve students, the community, and the college I serve.I have cultivated an aura of inclusion and equity in every workplace where I\'ve been employed. Examples of this include, but are not limited to:• Shoreline Community organizational efforts at recruitment and outreach for two local high schools, helping to guide more than 40+ high school multi-language learners member of the Equity workshops at the National Conference on Race & Ethnicity.• Edmonds Equity and Inclusion Council of the Equity Alliance for Achievement (EAACH), which is a family and community advisory group that focuses on building inclusivity in schools• a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee to culturally align with WorldatWork\'s strategies.• Eastern Washington and recruit minority students and faculty to foster inclusion and diversity within the event.Personal motto:*Voice for the Voiceless*
