ABOUT FRASER PLAXTON
I have +10 years of professional experience in architecture both in Canada and abroad (New York, Cape Town, Helsinki) and am a licensed architect under the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). Until 2022 I practiced architecture and urban design with SvN Architects+Planners in Toronto where I acted as project architect on a variety of project types and scales ranging from multi-unit affordable housing to academic campus master plans as well as the construction management of small community projects. A core underpinning of both my professional and academic work has always been a deep interest in regional material culture and specifically in timber design and architecture. More recently I have relocated to Helsinki to complete post-graduate studies at Aalto University in the field of industrial wood construction and subsequently began working for a small development company focused on modular timber hospitality projects both in Finland and abroad.
