Enhancement of my previous role before Avnet purchased Farnell. Working tirelessly across all Indirect Procurement categories (Freight, IT / GIS, FM, Professional Services, CRE, Marketing, Labour, Packaging, etc), leading a team of really talented buyers ensuring that their development potential is reached. Pushing to secure the most advantageous deals for the company, supporting senior stakeholders throughout the business in the delivery of projects. Ensuring purchase deals contain the right cost, quality and delivery / implementation timeframes is essential (not every deal should be the cheapest!). Working on a global level, but directly managing a team in UK. Co-ordinating with counterpart and team in the US, looking to consolidate deals where there is a good business case whilst maintaining local relationships to ensure the company maintains the required service levels and touch points with key suppliers.PLEASE NOTE: For information to anyone reading my profile in a sales capacity - Avnet do not manufacture anything.
