Professor for Radar Remote Sensing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I am responsible for teaching Microwave, Optical, and Thermal Remote Sensing to graduate students. My research interests are centered on the theory and applications of Microwave Remote Sensing. Technical research includes Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image formation, SAR image analysis, ionospheric and atmospheric correction, and interferometric SAR (InSAR). Applications research is focused on geo- and weather-related hazards. I am a member science team member of the NASA/ISRO SAR mission NISAR and am heavily engaged in capacity building in the field of radar remote sensing.
