ABOUT FRANZISKA SCHLAGENHAUF

With over six years of work experience, I am a passionate and creative Senior Product Design Engineer at Google, where I work on the full cycle of product development for innovative consumer electronic devices and wearables. My mission is to create products that enhance people\'s lives, health, and well-being, using my expertise in mechanical engineering, product design, and haptic technology. I thrive in collaborative and diverse teams, where I can contribute to solving complex and challenging problems, and learn from other talented engineers and designers.In my current role, I design, analyze, and prototype new concepts for mechanical designs for injection molded, machined, die-cast, and over-molded parts, as well as wearable health sensors and haptic actuators. I also develop novel models and control algorithms for haptic feedback, and create python tools for data analysis. I partner with electrical engineers on system architecture design and integration of electronics subsystems. I have successfully delivered multiple prototype and engineering validation builds, and have co-authored multiple patents and publications on haptic force generation. I use my skills in SOLIDWORKS, engineering, and product design to create high-quality and user-friendly products that meet the requirements and expectations of the customers and stakeholders.
