ABOUT FRANZISKA-MARIE HILPERT-JANS
I am dynamic, highly motivated legal counsel with a hands-on mentality and a passion for negotiating. I studied my master in business law (LL.M) in Lund, Sweden and competed in the European Law Moot Court Competition, where I argued in the Regional Final and gained valuable public speaking as well as negotiation experience. Now, as legal counsel, I negotiate software licensing and service agreements with enterprise customers from various industries, including the automotive sector. I am pragmatic and understand that the business\' needs come first. To find the best solutions I try to reveal the hidden motivations behind the position. This way I helped the business to close deals with a total value of $125 million within 6 months. I am passionate about creating a better work environment through better communication and collaboration. Thus, in my current role I created, rolled out and am successfully leading a negotiation training. The course is open to Sales, Legal, HR Professionals and everyone who is interested in improving their negotiation skills within the company. The training includes not only knowledge transfer but also extensive practice sessions in smaller groups which furthers communication, cross functional relationships, and personal development. It is easy for me to adapt to new situations and to strive in difficult situations, because I am very curious and have a learning mindset. For example, I started working as Contract Manager in a medium sized engineering company with a focus on the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Since my manager left the business after 3 months and no replacement was found for another year, I was handling the legal department by myself. I reviewed, and negotiated all contracts, ensured GDPR compliance and drafted and implemented new policies. I was able to support the business and advise the management autonomously. I am always looking to have a great conversation and new challenges. Please feel free to contact me via LinkedIn.
