As President and CEO of Montana State University Alumni Foundation, Fran works with an outstanding team and board to cultivate lifelong relationships and secure private support to advance Montana State University. In her short tenure, she has strengthened the organization through the repair of strategic relationships, culture and realignment. The organization has achieved record funding levels and completed key strategic initiatives for Montana State University.Fran previously served as Chief Philanthropy Officer at Providence Montana Health Foundation, where she and her team raised historic levels of funding, resulting in completion of multiple capital projects, state of the art equipment, innovative programs, and increased access, supporting excellence through philanthropy at Providence St. Patrick Hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center, St. Patrick House, 40 clinics throughout Montana.Albrecht was appointed by former Montana Governor Steve Bullock to the 7-member Montana University System Board of Regents, providing governance to 16 Montana public higher education institutions, serving 2 years as vice-chair, 2 years as chair, completing her 6-year term in 2019. Fran is a proud Montana Ambassador. She has served on numerous boards and committees including the First Interstate Bank Missoula Advisory Board, Carroll College Board of Trustees, First Interstate Bancsystem Foundation Board, Leadership Montana class of 2020, Providence Mission Leadership Cohort 15, and is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. On the brink of closing its doors, Fran led Watson Children’s Shelter through two capital campaigns, raising millions to ensure children from abuse, neglect and family crisis are welcomed into the safety, warmth and care of professionally trained and compassionate staff. Her nonprofit experience and leadership transferred into the classroom as adjunct faculty at University of Montana, teaching Advanced Non-profit Administration and Public Service. Fran is recognized as a strategic and servant leader, with skills and experience including but not limited to philanthropy, board development, governance, facilitation, higher education, healthcare, state and federal relations, advocacy, strategic partnerships, capital campaigns, culture, mentorship, maximizing teams, fundraising, expert witness, corporate boards, and speaking engagements. With strengths of positivity, strategy, maximizing, input and connectedness, Fran leads by elevating the strengths of teams, innovating with creative input, building healthy team culture and engaging key partnerships.
