I practice in both the Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith group and the Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy group at White and Williams. I advise national and regional insurers on coverage questions, partner with claim professionals in investigating and handling sensitive claims and represent carriers in coverage and bad faith litigation in federal and state courts and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Our practice provides cost-effective and practical advice on all aspects of coverage disputes, whether the claim is a moderately sized first-party claim or a mass tort or environmental claim of national scope. I have particular experience assisting carriers in coverage issues arising out of construction defect claims, medical device and other product liability litigation, and toxic exposure claims. I have experience addressing the unique problems that exist at the intersection of insurance coverage and bankruptcy, including representing insurers in asbestos bankruptcies and serving as an expert for an insurer on mass tort bankruptcy issues.I also represent financial institutions, investors, asset purchasers, landlords, vendors, and creditors\' committees in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructurings, and in both prosecution and defense of fraudulent transfer claims. I counsel debtor and creditor clients on preserving rights and maximizing outcomes in bankruptcies.
