Sole Employee Relations Manager for employees across 110+ units in over a dozen states and Canada responsible for investigating and resolving employee conflicts/complaints-Ensure compliance of all applicable Federal, State, Municipal and company laws, regulations, policies and procedures-Mentor and develop managers and employees to become strong, strategic leaders-Provide consultation and human resources expertise on matters relating to employee relations, performance management, organizational development, conflict resolution, human resources policies and procedures, compensation administration, employment law, etc-Collaborate with partners, managers and stakeholders to develop Employee Relations Best Practices-Develop & deliver Equal Employment Opportunity, Diversity and, Affirmative Action training programs through a variety of mediums-Review company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable EEO/Diversity/AA laws, rules and regulations-Conduct and document in person employee survey meetings across all 110+ units-Analyze results of employee surveys and advise respective management teams on how to address the issues that were brought up-Create processes for employees to report grievances and complaints -Partner with military commanders to acquire transitioning military personnel to work for us-Partner with local unemployment office and private employment agencies to obtain free qualified leads and free postings on Illinois Job Link and other employment websites-Draft company responses/rebuttals to unemployment insurance claims and complaints with the EEOC-Create training materials for employee orientations in English and Spanish-Create and conduct new employee orientation and safety & sanitation training presentations-Brief employees on enrollment and use of their benefits-Assist in reviewing/renewing Employee Handbook as required due to new regulations
