ABOUT FRANK KRUGMANN
I work with an approach called Thoughtshaping – a practice of applying forms of thought to strategic and creative decision-making, and to shaping the very conditions that make worlds thinkable, actionable, and buildable. I help brands and companies develop and transform – translating abstract tensions into structures of meaning, direction, and value. I support companies in creating business-critical and brand-relevant strategies that complement and strengthen existing processes, challenge assumptions and results, and enable sharper judgment and better strategic choices. “Thoughtshaping gives you the chance to revolt against the logic you didn\'t know you were using. To become the logic you need - not the one you understand.“ - How does new thinking emerge? How can genuine innovation become possible? These were the questions I started with in 2019. What I found wasn’t a method – but a pattern: all brilliant minds, across centuries and disciplines, return to forms – figures, images, gestalts. These are not decoration – they are the scaffolding of thought. I followed that trace. It led beyond cognition – into the architectures of reality, the fictions of markets, the silent geometries that hold societies together. A cultural code began to emerge – linking new economic thinking to a new economy of mind. Over time, I gathered and curated these forms – tracing them across disciplines: from phenomenology to physics, from philosophy to cognitive linguistics, from aesthetics to anthropology, from semiotics to neuroscience, from Buddhism to Voodoo. At first, it became ASH – a library of over of forms called Thought Shapes. Over time it shifted from archive to atmosphere, from collection to environment – to think with, test against, and go beyond. Then came the breakthrough: with AI in the loop, ASH began to co-think. That was the birth of the Thoughtshaping Approach – creating forms and structures of sense by tensioning separate logics until meaning itself becomes designable. Every age invents its own tools of thought. Ours demands more than methods – it demands geometries. And Thought Shapes are such geometries. ASH remains, for now, a local database. One day it may become a public tool – one that renders me obsolete. We’ll see. In the meantime, I’m looking to collaborate – with agencies, companies, and teams – bold enough to think differently, curious enough to explore how Thoughtshaping can catalyze deep creativity and radical strategy. Let‘s shape the shapes that shape us. Best from Berlin, Frank
