About Frankie Hamilton
I am formerly a high school chemistry teacher that decided to pursue a career in nursing. I’ve worked as a clinical nurse in a variety of patient care settings and have been an assistant manager on both a Tele/stroke and a Tele/surgical unit. I have also worked as a quality specialist where I applied principles of change management and improvement science to effect change hospital wide through the design and implementation of performance improvement initiatives. I have my MBA in healthcare management and my MSN in Adult Gerontology. I am also currently enrolled in a PhD program at NYU where my doctoral studies center around substance use in patients with limited English proficiency and the barriers that exist to treatment. For the last few years, I have worked as an Assistant Director of Nursing at a community hospital within the Northwell system and most recently as a Nurse Administrator at NYP, where I was in charge of maintaining regulatory standards, improving operational efficiency/ throughput, ensuring optimal staffing, and improving the delivery of patient/ family centered care. I am currently working as the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer at Lincoln Hospital, where I am able to apply my business and clinical expertise as I help oversee all of inpatient nursing. In this role, I partner with my leadership team to help achieve strategic organizational goals, as well as partner with my CNO and nurse leaders to achieve our nursing strategic vision. Our goals are centered on improving staff engagement/wellness, operational efficiency, the delivery of safe, high quality patient care, and to enhance the overall patient experience in our South Bronx Community Hospital.
