ABOUT FRANK TSCHENTSCHER LL. M.

I am a partner in Deloitte Legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH and head of the firm’s a Business Recovery & Insolvency unit. A dual qualified German Attorney-at-law and English Solicitor, I have extensive knowledge and over 25 years of experience in negotiating and implementing complex corporate debt restructuring matters. During my legal career, I have gained a considerable reputation for dealing with cross border transactions, jurisdictional issues and rescue processes. I have been involved in a significant number of high-profile cross-border cases, predominantly out-of-court restructurings that have reached successful conclusions. My insolvency work includes acting for German and foreign stakeholders and/or office holders on all aspects of insolvency-related matters, both contentious and non-contentious and including business restructure. In restructuring assignments, I am typically acting for finance parties in out of court reorganisations or, alternatively, company rescue proceedings within formal insolvency processes. This also includes (distressed) mergers and acquisition projects. On the debtor\'s side, I am mainly retained by management or shareholders with the objective being to safeguard their interest and help rescue the business. I am a Past President of INSOL Europe, the leading European organisation of insolvency, business reconstruction and recovery professionals.
