About Frank Schmuck
Airline Captain (engineer and public speaker) who offers time to community service projects in numerous capacities ranging from education, veteran, transportation, and healthcare. Independently researched and studied noise emanating from freeways in the Phoenix metropolitan area and the impact on communities. The end result was a proposal for the use of rubberized asphalt (using rubber from disposed tires) on top of the existing concrete located on Arizona highways that traverse residential neighborhoods. This proposal dropped noise levels by approximately half as heard by the human ear. Successfully advocated to the US Department of Veteran Affairs to have Lou Gehrig ’s disease recognized as an official Person Gulf War related illness and today these veterans are fully compensated and receive 100% care for them and their families. Reviews and helps select youth wanting to attend United States Military Academies. Also founded a local Chapter of Dollars for Scholars providing need based scholarships to youth from seven high schools in the local area.Specialties: Pilot Instruction, Domestic and International Flight Operations, Writing, Civic and Charitable Service.
