I bring over 30 years of experience designing and producing community-centered programs, public experiences, and educational initiatives, with a sustained focus on spirituality, recovery, and civic life. Recognized as a visionary and collaborative leader, my work spans production management, program design and leadership, education, mentorship, and the visual and performing arts.My practice is grounded in an innovative design and direction pedagogy that advances large-scale public and community-based projects. These initiatives foster meaningful participation, civic authorship, and inclusive dialogue around justice, equality, and equity. I have extensive experience building and sustaining partnerships with leaders across government, cultural institutions, and both public and private sectors.As an award-winning speaker and educator, I have contributed to the fields of event production, theater, ritual, ceremony, and the performing arts, and I am a published writer on mythology. I also served for more than seven years as an Instructor at the University of Chicago, where I developed and taught interdisciplinary curricula.I am the creator of “The School of Celebration,” a distinctive pedagogy and curriculum focused on civic engagement through creative practice. My professional background includes over 25 years in fundraising and development, along with demonstrated success managing diverse teams, cultivating trust-based collaborations, and overseeing budgets ranging from to $2 million.I have been commissioned to conceive and lead immersive, participatory civic projects by a wide range of respected institutions, including federal, municipal, and cultural organizations, as well as leading arts, education, and healthcare institutions.
