About Frank Long
In August 2006, I was personal assistant and Field Director on Gov. Jim Folsom Jr.\'s Campaign for Lt. Governor. I worked briefly for the State Senate before being appointed as the Lt. Governor\'s Legislative Liaison and Constituent Affairs Director. After relocating to Birmingham in late 2008, I founded Long & Allen LLC, a full service political consulting firm. We are very proud of our near perfect success rate in the numerous issue based campaigns we\'ve tackled since 2010. We\'ve also been an integral part of more than 25 successful federal, state, and local political campaigns throughout Alabama. It speaks volumes that many of those same candidates have hired us two and three times when seeking re-election or higher office. We\'ve worked hard to hone our unique data driven methods in each phase of our client\'s campaigns. Each client is treated as if they\'re our largest and most important. 2016-17 re-energized my passion for politics. Long & Allen helped elect a first time candidate and political new comer become Mayor of a small town in south Alabama beating out 3 political veterans. I was heavily involved in the Birmingham Mayor’s race. I served as a top advisor and was the top overall fundraiser for then Birmingham School Board member,Randall Woodfin, who defeated incumbent Mayor,William Bell, by 19 percentage points becoming B’ham’s second youngest Mayor. I was also involved in the our State’s Democratic nominee’s Gubernatorial bid, Mayor Walt Maddox of Tuscaloosa in 2018 and helped raise money for the special election of United State’s Senator Doug Jones. My career up to this point has centered on a strong network and great relationships with people all over our state and beyond. In December of 2021, I switched gears going into the Non-profit sector full time. I’m now the Director of Development for the largest long term Christ-centered recovery facility for women and their children in the US. The Lovelady Center is an amazing place where we’re able to witness the regenerative power of God on a daily basis. The women here are in a 9-12 month program come to us due to addiction, homelessness, domestic violence and/or incarceration. It’s an amazing environment and my job is to raise funds and awareness of the Lovelady Center and our mission.
