As a senior software engineer on the Consumer Platform organization, I am responsible for ensuring that Starlink can quickly roll out new products and that customers receive the service they paid for. My recent work- Building a real-time data usage tracking system that accurately tallies the amount and type of data consumed by millions of Starlinks around the world. I also created an event-system that uses the data usage metrics to trigger network, service, and billing actions- Designing a product backend that can quickly implement and roll out new service products: for example, in the last two years, Starlink has expanded from land-based unlimited data subscription model to maritime priority data service plans,\'roam\' plans that permit out of home country use,\"pooled\' data plans for enterprises with thousands of Starlinks, and much more in the works. I am responsible for ensuring that our data tracking, billing service, web portals, and mobile app can deliver these new service products- Doing whatever is necessary to support our products! On any given week I can be found designing new systems, heads down on delivering a promised feature, working with enterprise customers for API integration, talking to customers to unblock a critical issue (such as restoring service to a scientist in Antarctica!), or working with the design team on a mobile app refresh. I get to wear a lot of different hats at Starlink.
