1. Emissions and Obd on Vehicle Compliance Testing Manager

   Earlier this year I was approached to look at a new role in the world of Vehicle Compliance testing. I now manage the Heavy Duty In Use Test (HDIUT) team and the Production Vehicle Evaluation (PVE) test team. HDIUT is focused on tail pipe out emissions and uses Portable Emissions Measuring Systems (PEMS) equipment to get the job done. This is laboratory grade equipment being used in the field so it presents many unique challenges. PVE is OBD focused and covers scan tool interface compliance, diagnostics validation, and in use monitoring performance ratio compliance. I am honored to work with such a diverse group of engineers and technicians and to have this opportunity. My objective is to develop and implement an operational model that provides the appropriate work life balance while harnessing the synergy between the two teams. This is a fantastic challenge and I am very grateful for the opportunity.
