Direct and manage the day to day operations of the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. The Foundation is a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to honoring the lives of our fallen heroes. The Foundation provides support and financial assistance to the families of Chicago police officers who are killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty.As Director of Operations, I represented the Foundation, addressing various groups and educated them on the functions and the services offered by the organization. I cultivated key relationships with sponsors, vendors, and potential donors. In addition, I planned and oversaw various fundraising initiatives and events. including the Run to Remember, Cars and Cops, Chicago Marathon Team, International Association Chiefs of Police 5K Footchase, various merchandise sale events, and coordinated services to families of Chicago Police officers in need. I supported the Gold Star Families, the Chicago Police Survivors and various other organizations to move forward the Foundation with the goal to \'Never Forget\' the sacrifices of the fallen or catastrophically injured officers and their families. I produced the Officer of the Month ceremony to honor the outstanding work done by active and retired Chicago Police Officers. I worked as a liaison between Officers and the Foundation with the goal to identify and deliver assistance to Officers in need. I worked with the Suicide Awareness Committee to bring attention to this crisis within the law enforcement community and worked with the Chicago Employee Assistance Program. I supported the small dedicated staff who worked to deliver services including the \"Get Behind the Vest Campaign\' to support the men and women who protect the streets of Chicago.see less
