Frank Doerner was born in 1972 in Leverkusen, Germany. He joined Bayer AG, Germany in 1994. After completing a business management training program, he then worked as marketing representative from 1997. He was transferred to Bayer Korea as Manager in BU Polyurethanes in Two years later, he was appointed Deputy General Manager Polyurethanes in Bayer Taiwan. Returning to Leverkusen in 2003, he first took over the position of Manager Japan/ Korea/ India/ ANZ at Bayer AG Regional Coordination and then he was appointed as the Head of Global Agency Business at Bayer Holding. Effective from July, 2006, he became Director/ Vice President Product Management ISO Regional Marketing APAC (PUR-RM APAC). In February 2012he took up the role of the head of Business Unit Polyurethanes at Bayer MaterialScience China.With the inauguration of Covestro, Frank became Senior Vice President and responsible for the Business Planning, Strategy & Administration Department for the Global Polycarbonates business headquartered in Shanghai.In September 2017, Frank returned to Germany to lead the Strategic Commodities Department in Procurement for Covestro.
