Building the Insights and Recommendations engine for the B2B Wholesale platform (100k+ monthly users).Insights & Recommendations: Built the service that serves data insights along with product and brand recommendations using MongoDB Vector Search and BigQuery.Reliability: I’m proud of our team\'s stability record—we’ve had only one production regression in over a year for the Insights service.Tech Stack: React, TypeScript, NestJS, MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and GCP.Testing & Ops: Established a testing strategy heavily leveraging Supertest (E2E) with complementary unit tests to catch issues before they hit users. Implemented structured logging and tracing with OpenTelemetry (GCP) to debug efficiently in staging and production.Infrastructure: Handle Helm configs, GitLab pipelines, Python cron scripts, and BigQuery data pipelines.Mentorship & Communication: Conduct deep code reviews and mentor other developers. I lead communication and presentations with external MongoDB experts and run internal demos on using AI tools effectively within our workflow.
