ABOUT FRANCOIS-JEROME SELOSSE

François-Jérôme (“FJ”) Selosse is currently Head of Credit and Loan Structuring at Concrete Transition Capital, leading all aspects of investments into low emission cement and concrete companies. He is also Venture Partner at Bay Bridge Ventures working along side general partners on all aspects of deal lifecycle. FJ is an experienced investor, with expertise spanning public and private markets, including public equities, debt, derivatives, venture capital, private equity, real assets and infrastructure. Impact areas of expertise include sustainable food, agriculture, forestry, circularity, energy transition and climate more broadly speaking. He began his career in the financial services industry in 2007, and has been a portfolio manager and direct equity and debt investor. Having been responsible for the management of a $300M portfolio involving a vast array of equity and debt securities, FJ is expert at portfolio construction and risk management. In addition, FJ has deep experience developing processes and managing teams to source, diligence, structure, execute and manage investment opportunities. As a former Fellow at the Environmental Defense Fund and a member of the sustainability team at TPG Capital, FJ has also helped private companies design and implement a number of sustainability strategies. Prior to Bay Bridge, FJ served as Managing Director of Avalon Growth Capital, and was co-founder and Managing Partner of Provenance Capital Group, two merchant banks providing investment banking services and principal investments to companies in the sustainable food, agriculture, forestry, circularity and decarbonization sectors. During those times, FJ led the firms’ Due Diligence, Underwriting, and Portfolio Management functions with responsibilities that include industry research, complex financial analysis, due diligence, deal structuring, underwriting, portfolio valuation, and investor outreach.FJ spent 8 years early in his career working for hedge funds with over $2 Billion in AUM where he managed and oversaw capital investments across a variety of industries and asset classes, with a particular focus on high yield opportunities.FJ is a graduate of Berkeley Haas’ full-time MBA program. He also holds a M.S. in Financial Engineering from NYU, and a B.A. in Economics and Statistics from the Ecole Polytechnique in France. As a fellow of the Just Economy Institute, FJ is also dedicated to leveraging integrated forms of capital to catalyze social justice.
