Associate Legal Advisor @U.S. Department Of Homeland Security
Washington, DC, US
As an attorney in the District Court Litigation Division, I serve as agency counsel and manage certain federal civil litigation cases filed against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. I work closely with Department of Justice entities, including U.S. Attorney\'s Offices, the Office of Immigration Litigation, and the Torts Branch to advocate for and ensure that ICE\'s interests are represented in litigation. I assist in all aspects of federal litigation, including strategy, motion practice, discovery, witness preparation, and settlement negotiations, in cases ranging from common-law tort suits, Bivens suits (suits seeking money damages against ICE employees in their individual capacities), and claims seeking injunctive or declaratory relief, including class action habeas corpus relief. I work with Bivens defendants to prepare requests for representation for submission to the Department of Justice.
