ABOUT FRANCIS TEMPLING

Francis is an accomplished Chief Technology Officer and Programme Director, he brings a unique blend of consulting and industry experience with deep expertise in insurance. A former director at PwC and Head of IT at Aviva, he has led and architected complex, technology-enabled business transformations whilst at PwC, KPMG, Aviva, and Accenture. He excels at turning strategy into reality, solving tough challenges, and driving large-scale change. His passion lies in leading and architecting technology-enabled business transformations. Francis has a distinctive skillset in:• Data, Generative AI and Technology Architecture - proven as a Chief Technology Officer on a large scale (€150m) personal lines business transformation for a major global insurer.• Large scale transformation programme delivery, turnaround and advisory - an accomplished Programme Director, he has shaped and led over 20 successful deliveries of large scale, agile, cloud-based, tech-enabled, customer, digital, core insurance platform, data, AI and cyber transformations (£150+M budget, 400+ people).• Building and coaching high-performance teams - both on transformation programmes, as well as the PwC Consulting Relationship Lead for the Financial Services Cloud and Data practice for 2 years. An internal PwC leadership role, he was accountable for the line and performance management, recruitment and training for the team of 90+ consultants. He fostered a strong culture of community and coaching for the senior manager, manager and senior associate grades across the UK.• Deep insurance industry subject matter expertise with a strong set of senior relationships - deep personal and business relationships across the industry at C-suite and board level. Personal, Commercial Lines, Specialty and London Market experience in insurance, including at Aviva, AXA, Bupa, Direct Line Group and the London Market. • Winning consulting engagements - as a member of consulting bid leadership teams he has won and delivered over 10 high value bids (£5-10m+ revenue). He is often accountable for the technology architecture, delivery approach and estimates. He sells on work because of his successful delivery and the trust he has built with his clients.• Building out consulting propositions - played a pivotal leadership role in developing and scaling the PwC Core Insurance Platform Proposition. Defined the go-to-market strategy, built, piloted and scaled the delivery chain, securing key engagements.
