After more than 30 years in academia, Francisco Gonzalez-Longatt (fglongatt LTD) has embarked on a new endeavour where his knowledge and experience are shared and used to solve the most basic to the most complex problems related to energy systems, that is, the genesis of fglongatt LTD, an engineering consultancy services provider.Fglongatt is the founder and leader of the Digital Energy Systems Laboratory (DIgEnSys-Lab) link: https://fglongattlab.fglongatt.org/index.htmlSpecialities: Power systems dynamics with a strong background in electromechanical processes, Power system operation, and control with an emphasis on using novel methods to enhance the performance of power systems (including heuristic optimisation and machine learning). Experience in research and development on wind power, energy storage, Electric vehicles, multi-terminal HVDC, and protection systems (emphasis in wide-area control and digital substations using IEC 61850). Interested in developing the future now! Using cyber-physical principles for real-time simulation and hardware in the loop. A problem solver!
