Responsible for oversite of the various programs establish within CORE. Programs are but not limited to partners with Denver Department of Housing Stability (HOST), Colorado Department of Correction (CDOC) and Denver International Airport (DEN) to conduct outreach and recruitment for job readiness programs. Denver Day Works (DDW) is for individuals and families experiencing homelessness that are not currently engaged in other community programs. The DEN New Heights program is for individuals recently released from CDOC. The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) is for individuals and families experiencing poverty at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Limit, in the City & County of Denver. The overall purpose of these programs is to provide supportive services and job readiness that leads to employment in the community. Most of these programs also provide a paid work experience to qualified clients while they engage in employment. This position provides department leadership, including supervision, program planning, policy implementation, budget tracking, operations management, and other ancillary services provided through these programs. This position supports the Director to secure and manage related new contract/business/program opportunities as well as ensure all reporting requirements of funders are met. This includes supervision, program planning, budget preparation, financial monitoring, program outcomes, contract management and the overall operations of pilot program development. This position collaborates with the Development Department to write proposals for new/continuing contracting or subcontracting opportunities. The Associate Director will build strong internal relationships with HR and Development, as well as with community organizations, higher education institutions, and government entities.
