Dynamic and entrepreneurial manager with 28 years of experience in the optical thin film business, from batch coaters in the ophthalmic industry to large area coaters for architectural residential and commercial applications. Most recent position supports manufacturing with current processes, and through a scientific approach creates new process parameters, materials, to improve process window, yields, and throughput, generally speaking to decrease manufacturing costs while preparing the equipment to ever increasing coating performance without any deterioration with must-have properties such as scratch and corrosion resistance.In the past 8 years, I concentrated my research on extreme coatings for high selectivity (hot climates, solar energy blocking) high visible transmission triple-silver based stacks, along with extreme coatings for cold climates (high visible transmission, high passive solar energy, high thermal insulation). Developed a method to produce a continuous layer of silver as thin as five nanometers in a production architectural glass coater. Specialties: Optical Thin Film design, development, and industrialisation. Production management in a Lean Manufacturing environment. Nano Technology. Creative Writing.
