ABOUT FRANCIS OLSSON
Following 2 years of work for a government agency in my home state of Massachusetts, I wanted to find a position that had more of a policy impact. In my search I found the Fund. I joined the team as a canvasser, found I deeply enjoyed talking with community members about how we can tackle issues like the climate crisis, public health, and pollution.I have had the opportunity to lead teams of organizers into the community as a field manager, recruit and train staff as an assistant director in our Chicago office, and build an office from scratch as the lead director of our Philly office. Each of these roles has allowed me to have a greater reach and larger impact on policy changes in our communities. I have worked in 10 states in the past year, working on 6 different campaigns, and have been in charge of teams which have raised over $600,00 for the issues we tackle. In my newest role I will be able to impact not only one campaign or one state at a time, but will facilitate the ability of all of our campaigns nationally to activate and organize our communities.
