About Francis Moon

Hello! I\'m Francis, a 2023 UCLA graduate from Princeton, NJ. I am currently serving as a Teach for America corps member in Los Angeles as a high school environmental science and biology teacher in Inglewood, with a personal goal of inspiring and encouraging my students to pursue college, STEM and healthcare. Ultimately, my goal is to earn a D.D.S and interweave children\'s education into my long-term career. I am also interested in the biological research of oral and maxillofacial diseases, including efforts to advance aid in underserved areas for this underlooked epidemic, and I have presented a research poster to UCLA Dentistry faculty on this topic. At UCLA, I was also a staff writer and Sports editor for the Daily Bruin with 100+ published stories and podcasts in Sports and Arts, and a lead coordinator for Happy Feet Clinic, an organization that hosts free podiatry clinics in severely disadvantaged communities of Los Angeles.
