I am passionate about increasing innovative food security and Basic Needs resources through to goal of stabilizing vulnerable college students\' experiences to ultimately support their academic journeys. How can our students be expected students to thrive without meals?At San Diego City College I serve as the CalFresh Technician. I currently coordinate our CalFresh Outreach Program working to increase access and clarity around the impactful long term food resource SNAP. I am a practitioner offering services rooted in their own humanization. My lens of student support aims to promote equity and dignity through strength based, person-centered, and trauma-informed modalities. Uplifting our students in their experiences so they can pay back into our community.
