ABOUT FRANCESCO SORO

A dedicated public-sector manager with strong institutional and public affairs experience, as well as a solid background in law. While serving as Chairman of Corecom for the past 5 years, I have gained extensive expertise in the fields of public policies for innovation, ICT, audiovisual industries and cross-media convergence.Previously my portfolio of assignments focused on communications and information technology, public affairs, institutional and external relations for both public institutions and private companies. As Chairman of the National Committee of Corecoms, I was responsible for liaising and building institutional relations with central government, regional governments and national authorities.As Advisor for Innovation to the Council of Ministers - Department for Regional Affairs, I supported the Minister in all institutional activities, most especially regulatory activities related to public policies for innovation. In my previous experiences I was also in charge of special projects dealing with the modernisation of public administrations, i.e. during my experience both as Board member at AGES and as President at the Regione Lazio\'s ICT Consortium.I also served as Member of the Children and Media Committee.I have worked as a lawyer at the most senior levels, developing specific expertise in the fields of civil-law and administrative-law litigation, business law, electronic communications law, insurance law.I have extensive experience as public speaker, as well as numerous publications in my fields of expertise.
